Mission

On April 2, 2023,  I lost my beloved Shih Tzu, Siddha (a.k.a. Bumby). In an attempt to lessen the heartbreak of his loss, I made myself a custom statue of him from concrete. (I had been handcrafting concrete statues for a number of years at this point and was comfortable with the process). Having the statue nearby brings me a degree of comfort; and I was deeply inspired to extend this option to other pet owners.
I started collecting and making moulds of as many dog and cat breeds as possible. The endeavor has been remarkably popular. I began offering this service later in 2023, and to date have completed approximately 20 commissions. All of my customers have been extremely happy.
My mission with all of my statuary is to bring joy to the world. The 3D Pet Portraits provide a portal for joy and also perhaps for a lessening of suffering. That, at a minimum, is my intention and my wish.
The majority of people that have commissioned a statue from me have done so because they wanted a memorial of a dog or cat. The remaining customers commissioned statues of pets that are happily still with us. Many of the commissions were given as gifts.
Presently, there are 16 dog breeds available. This list is constantly growing, as I am forever on the lookout for moulds and/or models I can make rubber latex moulds from. I've also been able to make custom portraits of mixed breeds by determining which statue is similar enough to capture the likeness of a pet. The statues are hand-cast from premium concrete and hand painted with premium exterior latex and a clear coat. They are designed to withstand the elements but most keep the statues close at hand indoors.
May All Beings Be Happy.
